Three major modular connector types used in Telecommunications and computer networking. The RJ-45 (formally referred to as "8P8C" or "8 pin, 8 Conductor") is the most common type used for Ethernet cabling. The RJ-11 is the standard for telephone connections between the desk instrument (the phone) and the wall jack. The Rj-22 is lesser know, but is often confused with the RJ-11. The RJ-22 is mainly just used on the curly cord that connects the hand piece to the phone base.RJ-45, RJ-11, RJ-22 connectors - YouTube | |
