The Telecom wiring color code is based on a set of 25 colored pairs (50 wires). Each pair is comprise of a Major color (White, Red, Black, Yellow, Violet) and a minor color (Blue, Orange, Green, Brown, Slate). The minor colors are repeated in groups dominated by the major colors. for instance the first group - WHITE - has a white/blue, white/orange, white/green, white/brown and white/slate.
